(A) Overview of communication passive components

Passive devices are divided into linear devices and non-linear devices. Linear passive devices are reciprocal and non reciprocal.

Linear reciprocal components only microwave signal linear transformation without changing the frequency characteristics, and to meet the reciprocity principle. Often we refer to passive components as linear reciprocal components.
